Estate Reserve Typica

This is my daily cup of coffee - I can't find anything that I like better. I buy it in the 5 pound bag.

I prepare breakfast for my wife and me every morning, and the first thing I do is brew our coffee (my darling wife is a tad grumpy before her coffee). When she walks toward the table, sipping her Typica, and comments, "Wonderful," I bask in the glow of her appreciation, knowing I've fulfilled part of my obligation of being a good husband. When we're on Kauai, Kauai Coffee is one of our must-do stops. When we can't be there (we had to cancel our trip this year), Kauai coffee-by-mail is the next best thing.

My wife and I are coffee lovers, and we drink our coffee black. We frequently vacation on Kauai (our favorite place in the world), and the Kauai Coffee Plantation is a priority stop for us. We have always favored the Blue Mountain selection, but this year we discovered Typica, and both the dark roast and the medium roast have become our very favorite coffees. The dark roast has a full, rich flavor, not at all overpowering, and no hint of bitterness. The medium roast has a somewhat lighter flavor than the dark roast, although more complex, with a hint of sweet coffee berry. They are each more delicious than any other coffee we have tasted, and we keep a good supply of them on hand. Enjoy!

This coffee is just excellent. Bold with well-balanced flavors. My wife and I have been trying to find coffee we love for over a year now and after so much disappointment we're delighted to have found this one. I think I'd prefer if it were a little more lightly roasted but hard to know. I'm looking forward to trying the other coffees from Kauai that we bought with this. This one is definitely a winner for us.

I lived on Kauai for about 4 years and found this coffee - now back on the mainland - rich, very flavorful, consistent - simply the best. Drinking it now as I write this review after ordering another 5 lb bag. I live in San Francisco and have access to some of the best local coffee in the world (Blue Bottle, Stumptown, etc.). Noting beats Typica Dark for my morning cappuccinos

I discovered medium roast Typica on my first visit to Kauai 15 years ago. I visited Kauai Coffee Estate and joined the coffee club. Typica is the only coffee I drink. I enjoy the great mellow flavor and never tire of it. It is WONDERFUL!

I'm retired from an international airline, been a lot of places. For me Typica is the best medium roast coffee. I drink it black, with nothing added.

This coffee has an excellent rounded flavor with no burnt bean taste and a hint of earthiness. Both dark and medium roasts are excellent. It is FAR ahead of 99.99% of available coffees - only surpassed by a few other Kauai coffees, such as Blue Mountain and Peaberry.
